My work at Yale University has been in the area of computer music, specifically automated composition. My work in this area has been interdisciplinary, drawing on programming languages, machine learning and artificial intelligence, music theory, and computational linguistics.
At Southern Methodist University, my research was in the areas of bioinformatics and geoinformatics. I worked on visualization systems for DNA/RNA data as well as seismic data, and also worked on even detection in seismic data sets.
